Worker Bee
The worker bee is the most numerous caste in the colony, with up to 60,000 individuals in summer. During her 6-week summer lifespan, she performs various tasks: cleaning, nursing brood, building comb, guarding, and finally foraging. Worker bees are infertile females equipped with a stinger.
