Wing Clipping
Wing clipping is the practice of trimming one wing of the queen to prevent swarming. The swarm cannot fly and falls in front of the hive. This method is prohibited in organic beekeeping and increasingly rejected in conventional beekeeping as well, since it does not suppress the swarming instinct itself.
