Queen Cup (Play Cup)
Queen cups are small, bowl-shaped wax cups on the comb edges that are precursors to queen cells. As long as they remain empty, there is no immediate swarming intent. Only when they contain an egg and royal jelly do they develop into actual swarm cells.
