Control Body (Organic Certification)
A control body is a government-approved organization that certifies organic beekeeping operations under EU organic regulations and conducts annual inspections. It verifies hive locations, management practices, hive materials, feeding, and treatment methods. Each control body has a code number (e.g., DE-ÖKO-001) that must appear on the label.
