Spring Inspection

The spring inspection is the first thorough examination of bee colonies after winter, typically in March when temperatures exceed 12°C (54°F). It assesses colony strength, food stores, queenrightness, and brood pattern. It forms the basis for all management decisions for the season and is documented in Hivekraft as the first inspection of the year.
