With a QR code on the label, you give your customers full transparency — from harvest to jar.

Today's consumers want to know where their food comes from. A QR code on your honey jar gives your customers access to all the information about their honey.

What's Behind the QR Code?

When a customer scans the QR code on your honey jar, a public honey page opens with:

  • Batch number for unique identification
  • Bottling date and best-before date
  • Honey variety (spring blossom, summer blossom, forest honey, ...)
  • Origin and location information
  • Your beekeeper profile with name and optional logo

This builds trust and sets you apart from the competition.

How to Create QR Codes with Hivekraft

Step 1: Record the Harvest

Document your harvest with date, honey variety, weight, and moisture content in the harvest management.

Step 2: Create a Bottling Batch

Under Bottling > New Bottling, you create a batch:

  • Assign a batch number
  • Choose jar size and quantity
  • Link harvest(s)
  • Add a description for the public page

Step 3: Generate the QR Code

Hivekraft automatically generates a QR code for each batch. You can:

  • Print on labels — via the label generator
  • Save as image — for your own label design
  • Share — via link with customers

Step 4: Create the Label

In the Label Generator, you combine all required information with the QR code on a professional label.

Why QR Codes on Honey?

Transparency

The customer sees exactly where their honey comes from. This is a strong selling point at the farmers' market or farm shop.

Professionalism

A QR code signals: Here is a modern beekeeper who takes their craft seriously.

Traceability

For inquiries or complaints, you can immediately trace which harvest ended up in which jar via the batch number.

Marketing

The public honey page doubles as advertising for your beekeeping operation. Customers can learn about you and come back.

Tip: Maintain Your Public Profile

Under Settings, you can set up your public profile: name, logo, website, and a short description. This information appears on the honey page — free advertising with every jar!
